A charming little village in the heart of Saxony, Arnsdorf is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. Its idyllic location on the edge of the Lusatian Mountains and proximity to Saxon Switzerland make it an ideal place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

The town has a rich history and is known as the birthplace of Karl May, the famous writer of the Wild West novels. The Karl May Museum in Arnsdorf provides a fascinating insight into the life of this important author.

The annual events such as the town festival or the Christmas market also provide cultural highlights. Here you can enjoy local specialities, admire traditional crafts or simply be entertained.

Culinary Arnsdorf offers its visitors a variety of regional dishes such as the delicious Spreewald gherkins or hearty meat dishes from local forests. The cosy inns are a great place to feast.

In summer, the surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for hiking, cycling or canoeing on the Spree. In winter, on the other hand, there are skiing opportunities on the surrounding slopes.

But what to do in bad weather? Don't worry! Even then Arnsdorf has a lot to offer: An exploration tour of the local history museum is just as worthwhile as a trip to the nearby town of Bautzen or a visit to the adventure pool.

Where is it most beautiful in Arnsdorf, Bautzen district? Definitely: In spring and summer, when everything is green and in bloom. The landscape then shines in full splendour and invites you to take long walks.

Arnsdorf - A destination with many facets and always worth a trip!
