Alfter is located only a few kilometres from the city of Bonn and is known for its idyllic landscape with numerous lakes, forests and fields. The region offers a perfect mix of nature and city experiences.

One of the most important sights is Alfter Castle. It was built in the 14th century and today houses the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Another highlight is the Heisterbach Monastery, which is considered one of the most beautiful medieval buildings in the region.

Culture enthusiasts should not miss the annual cultural festival "Alfter Art". Here, local artists present their works in various exhibitions, concerts or readings.

For gourmets, Alfter also has a lot to offer: From traditional dishes like the Rhenish Sauerbraten to international specialities, you will find everything your heart desires here!

When it comes to outdoor activities, hiking or cycling are particularly popular - especially during spring or summer when the sun is shining! The nearby Kottenforst-Ville nature park offers ideal conditions for hikers and cyclists.

But there is also plenty to do in Alfter when the weather is bad. How about a visit to the indoor swimming pool or a round of bowling? The cinema also regularly offers new blockbusters.

In conclusion, Alfter is a destination that is definitely worth a trip! Whether you are culturally interested or simply want to enjoy nature - everyone will get their money's worth here. There is no doubt about it: In Alfter you will find everything your heart desires!
