Maps and trails
Aerzen is located on the edge of the Weserbergland and is surrounded by picturesque forests, hills and rivers. The region is known for its breathtaking scenery with numerous hiking and cycling trails as well as the famous Weser Cycle Path along the Weser River. It is a perfect destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

The town itself has a rich history with many historic buildings such as Schwedesdorf Castle or St. George's Church dating back to the 12th century. Another highlight is the open-air museum "Mühlenkreiskultur" in Stift Fischbeck, where you can learn more about the cultural history of the region.

For cultural highlights, be sure to visit the annual jazz festival or see a performance at Hameln Theatre. For culinary delights, the region offers many local specialities such as the "Hamelner Pflasterstein", a sweet treat made of marzipan.

If it rains, you can still do a lot! Visit the Hamelin Museum, for example, or relax with a cup of tea in a cosy café.

Where is the nicest? That depends, of course, on what your preferences are. If you love nature, you should definitely visit the observation tower on the Hohenstein or take a boat trip on the Weser. For culture vultures, a walk through the historic old town of Hameln is a must.

Overall, Aerzen is definitely worth a trip and offers something for everyone - whether outdoor activities, cultural experiences or culinary delights. We hope this guide will help you with your planning and look forward to welcoming you to Aerzen!
