Geographically, Achberg is located at the foot of the Alpine foothills and thus offers a breathtaking backdrop of mountains and lakes. The region is therefore a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or water sports. The summer months are particularly beautiful, when you can enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the surrounding lakes.

But Achberg also has a lot to offer in terms of culture. One highlight is certainly Achberg Castle from the 16th century with its magnificent gardens and interiors full of history. The 18th century St. Gallus Church and the local history museum also provide an insight into local cultural history.

Another highlight is the culinary delights of the region - especially the cheese! Here you will find numerous farm shops and restaurants offering regional specialities.

There are also plenty of options for rainy days: How about a visit to Ravensburger Spieleland or a guided tour of a traditional brewery?

And where is the nicest? That depends on personal preferences, of course! But especially recommended are hikes on the surrounding hills or boat trips on Lake Constance at sunset - simply unforgettable!

All in all, a visit to Achberg is definitely worthwhile - a destination that should not be missing from any travel guide.

    Ich bin den Teil von Wasserburg bis Schloss Achberg gefahren. Das Wegstück bei Bad Schachen ließe sich noch etwas optimieren, in dem man Parallelweg weiter südlich nimmt. Dieser führt an einigen mondänen Villen und dem Lindenhofpark vorbei. Das Leiblachtal ist sehr idyllisch und sehr bequem zu fahren. Das Schloss Achberg sollte man sich auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen. Es ist das Highlight der Tour. Von da bin ich über die Argen und vorbei am Degersee und SChleinsee nach Wasserburg zurück,

    Der Weg am Fluss entlang ist wirklich sehr schön. Selten so ein wildes Flusstal in Deutschland gesehen. Wie schon von einem anderen Benutzer angemerkt, ist der Hasenweg gesperrt (bzw. auf der Outdooractive-Karte gar nicht mehr eingezeichnet ). Und zwar etwa ab km 8,5 dieses Tracks. Ärgerlich ist, dass es vorab kein Hinweisschild gibt. Man steht dann plötzlich vor einem versperrten Weg und muss unweigerlich umdrehen, so dass man letztendlich doch wieder über Schloß Achberg ausweichen muss. Das macht die Wanderung um 1,5 km länger! Am sinnvollsten wäre es wohl, gleich nach der letzten Brücke Richtung Schloß Achberg zu gehen und dann von dort den Weg zurück zum Parkplatz nehmen. Ist natürlich schade, weil der Pfad am Fluss entlang das Beste an der Wanderung ist.

    Ich bin letztes Jahr den fast identischen Weg gelaufen, und kann es absolut empfehlen! Ideal auch für heisse Sommertage, da man immer wieder mal auch Gelegenheit hat, sich in oder an der Argen zu erfrischen.

    Sehr schöne und abwechslungsreiche Runde. Der Radweg am Ufer vor Lindau ist aktuell gesperrt. Man wird auf den Fußgängerweg geleitet und muss dort schieben. Gut gefallen hat uns der Teil im Hinterland. Viele kleine Weiler und wenig befahrene Strässchen.

    Sehr schöne Tour, teilweise wie oben schon geschrieben, nach Matsch gute Trittsicherheit mit passendem Schuhwerk erforderlich, aber das macht Spaß! Weniger Spaß macht es, wenn einem auf 30 cm breiten Pfad ohne Ausweichmöglichkeit (E-)MBikes entgegenkommen. Sehr gefährlich und ich meine auch verboten (Breite < 2m)? Schwarze Schafe gibt es leider immer wieder.

    Wir sind in Tettnang gestartet (teils bio Tourenrad, teils elektrisches Rad) und haben die Tour dann in umgekehrter Richtung gemacht. Sie hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Allerdings wie schon jemand vorher schrieb: Teils stark geschottert, eine Treppe und steile Anstiege/Abfahrten an denen wir das Rad lieber geschoben haben (die Strecken waren aber jeweils nicht lang). Kleiner Hinweis: In Siggesweiler könnte man auch die Straße statt des Schotterweges nehmen.
