In the Hérault, along the river and by the sea...
Between the sea and the lagoons, the Hérault coastline offers wonderful protected areas. Here, the transition from land to sea is slow, natural, and harmonious. You must pass through the lagoons, their string of ponds, and the dune ridge to reach the shores of the Mediterranean. Herds of bulls, oyster beds, and nature reserves teeming with a myriad of migratory birds are the hallmarks of this protected coastline. The pink flamingo is the star of these places!
Other must-see stars: the oysters and shellfish from the Thau Lagoon, which pair so well with Picpoul de Pinet AOC wines! Discover them on the Hérault “conchylitour”!
