Fait durant l'été 2025, le passage par les portes d'Oche est vraiment le point d'orgue en termes de paysage mais ce qui vient avant n'est vraiment pas en reste. Autrement c'est une randonnée assez exigeante, je déconseille de l'enchaîner avec le départ de Thonon-les-Bains jusqu'à Théry dans la même journée sauf aux randonneurs très expérimentés (plus de 2000m d+ en une journée ça pique). La descente depuis le col de Bise jusqu'au refuge est très pentue et nécessite forcément d'emporter des bâtons au risque d'avoir les rotules détruites sur plusieurs jours.
