    bella passeggiata parte nel bosco e parte su pratoni, sempre accompagnati dal piacevole fresco del ruscello che nasce dal lago. Nonostante fosse un giorno di festa, non era super affollata ed abbiamo visto anche due camosci. La passeggiata è adatta a tutti, basta un minimo allenamento, e se si vuole continuare a fare percorsi più impegnativi, dal lago partono molte passeggiate.

    We did this hike in early spring, and the lakes were still frozen. A magnificent sight. A lot of snow on the path, but no problem completing the route. The refuge is a bit simple but nice. The walk back from the refuge is a bit long and tiring after a long day's hike.

    This beautiful is very popular, for several reasons: the path is easy to follow (good for dogs, kids, etc); views are excellent; there is a beautiful waterfall and a couple of lakes; it ends at a nice refuge, where you can buy (overly priced) crepes and beer. What's not to like? We were lucky: in the morning we observed dozens of eagles taking off from the cliff side and using the Breese for lift. Later we saw the local shepherd using his two dogs to herd sheep that were 400 meters above them!

    The walk is fantastic but the level is not moderate but more difficult. Just before the turnoff to the Pic de Vicos there is an airy passage over a grade “Soum de Counques” where good balance is needed. In the original hike the grade “Soum de Counques” seems to have been avoided by taking a turn-off but we did not choose this option since there was not a path over there and this was a cross-country option. Beautiful views and landscape.

    La route en voiture pour s'y rendre est parsemer de belles cascades. A faire ! Une fois sur le lieu de départ, La montée est assez raide mais à l'arrivée cela est superbe. Le parking est payant (7€), site fréquenté. Restaurant et rafraîchissement possible a 2 niveaux de la rando (paiement exclu par chèque et espèces ou cb à partir de 15€). La boucle n'as pu être réalisée car il y avait des travaux de rénovation débuté en mai sur la portion de chemin après le lac.
