The clean nature of Salla and the natural phenomena of the North
The pure nature and silence of Salla is present all year round. Thanks to the eight seasons, nature is constantly changing: In June, the midnight sun allows you to wander in nature around the clock. In August, the harvest season is perfect for berry and mushroom pickers, and the darkening evenings are now and then illuminated by northern lights that continue to adorn the night skies throughout the winter.
Gradually, the first snow covers the landscapes, and during the heart of winter, the wilderness freezes in its place with snow-topped trees. The departure of the ice in May is especially spectacular to watch along the riverside when the clusters of ice rafts are floating in the river stream. Nature is thus always there, in the daily life of Salla.
