The landscapes of Pyhä-Luosto tourist centres are characterized by fell mountains and evergreen forests. The melting waters of the ice age once consumed the mountain tops and made gorges, the finest of which is the 220-meter-deep Isokuru. There are plenty of well-marked hiking trails in the mountain scenery, where you can go skiing, snowshoeing or cycling in winter. Pyhä-Luosto National Park is one of the oldest in Finland and definitely worth visiting!
