    Auf Höhe 1160m zeigt eine Beschilderung nach links zur Kohlangeralm. Wir sind dieser gefolgt und können diese Variante empfehlen, das sie sehr schöne Ausblicke zum Grimming bietet. Es ist ein z.Teil etwas steilerer, aber guter Wanderweg und bei der Höhe 1400 kommt man wieder auf die andere Route, die wir dann beim Abstieg gegangen sind.

    I love this hike! I have done it several times. Stunning views! Word of caution: the shortcuts marked as "weglos, sehr steil" are literally very, very steep. Or I'm just a coward who is not very well sure-footed. ;-) But if you stay on the path and avoid the shortcuts, you have nothing to fear. Unless you do the trail in early April when there is still quite a bit of ice. I did that once...frightening to say the least, but totally worth it! If you stick to the marked path and the suggested summer months, then this trail is suited for hikers of moderate ability and potentially children.
