Just under 31 km point-to-point across the Bodanrück: Starting in Stahringen at the foot of the Homburg ruins, the route heads up to the Böhlerberg—at 664 m, the highest point on this route—and then follows a long, undulating southeast arc through the heart of the peninsula, passing through Dettingen, Litzelstetten, and the forested neighborhood of Königsbau, all the way to Konstanz. A scenic run that’s a true hidden gem, showcasing the quiet side of the Bodanrück.

This section of the North-South Trail spans just under 30 km and connects five of the Hegau region’s most striking volcanic cones: from the Hohenhewen (843 m), the highest point of the run, through Hohenstoffeln, Mägdeberg, and Hohenkrähen, all the way to the finish at Hohentwiel with its massive fortress ruins. The mix of terrain—including forest trails, meadow paths, and occasional gravel sections—makes this point-to-point route one of the most varied trail running routes between the Black Forest and Lake Constance.
