Trail runs in Frankenwald

The first stage of the Rennsteig Stage Run follows the ridge path from the Rennsteig start at the Saale through the Frankenwald to the Thuringian Slate Mountains.

The route of the Rennsteig stage run from the Werra to the Saale follows the Rennsteig. The total distance of 168.3 km is divided into five sections.

Individual trail running route with a high proportion of natural paths. Partly along the former inner-German border and Höllental.

Beautiful trail running route (one of many options in Höllental in the Franconian Forest). Some technical passages, as well as moderate climbs. But all "runnable"

FrankenwaldSteigla "The Churchgoer" Can also be combined with the FrankenwaldSteigla "12 Apostles' Way" if the starting point of both routes is chosen in the Rotmeiseltal (Dürrenwaiderhammer). This then results in a well over 30 km long tour. All Steigla are consistently and excellently marked.
