The forest road to Steinwenderhütte is cleared as soon as possible after snowfall. Taking crampons is highly recommended. The route is easy to walk over the entire distance, without major altitude differences, and is continuously signposted. The only exception is the first standing sign, which must always be removed due to the ski slope operation. The path is not suitable as a sledding route!

Roadbook
Starting from the Kanzelbahn - Mountain Station, you go around the Sunn Alm restaurant counterclockwise, passing the public WC and the sledding hill. After the short ascent of the sledding hill, you reach the retention pond. In winter, the first signposting towards Steinwenderhütte is located here.
Now follow the signposted path No. 31 to the Steinwenderhütte without changing direction. The wide forest road leads to the Steinwenderhütte without significant elevation changes and is also well suited for families.
