From the village center, the path leads towards Geisshalden. You hike along the road via Brunnhalden, Harschwendi East, turning left to Hörnlipass. The path continues around the Geisshalden forest, also called the hamlet Nieschberg. At the foremost tip of the forest, the view glides over the cantonal capital Herisau to St. Gallen; in good visibility, Lake Constance can also be seen. The path then continues along the forest edge on the Geisshalde. The restaurant «Frohe Aussicht» is currently closed. However, one is rewarded with a unique panorama with views of the Säntis. Afterwards, the path gently leads back along the road to the village center.
