From the S-Bahn station in Klosterreichenbach, first orient yourself towards the parking lot at the mini-golf course. Pass the monastery church on the right into Mühlweg. This leads into Dornstetter Weg. Follow this path into the Reichenbachtal. Below on the left are the spa park and the swimming pool. After the last houses, continue for the next 2.5 kilometers on marked hiking trails past the locations Reichenbach, Scheidgrundpfad, and Scheidgrund. Along the way, you will pass Märtesweiher, a dammed pond. If the snow conditions permit, the route can be shortened here by crossing the bridge to the other side of the valley. Then you pass the pleasure spot at Simonsbrunnen. About 150 meters before the Stoffelshütte, the cleared winter hiking trail makes a sharp left turn. Now it goes back downhill. Along the edge of the forest, you reach a junction after about 1.5 kilometers, which you leave to the left. On the marked hiking trail, you reach the Reichenbachtal location. Follow the hiking trail along the edge of the forest, past the locations Alter Wald, Pavillon, Klosterquelle, and Reichenbach, until you finally reach Dornstetter Weg again. As at the beginning of the hike, follow Mühlweg back to the monastery church. Then return to the starting point, full of wonderful scenic impressions.

    Author’s recommendation

It is worth taking a break at the Klosterquelle, from which the monks once drew their water.
