A relatively flat, cozy, and sunny winter hiking route on the Gerlitzen Alpe. Enjoy the wonderful winter world as well as Carinthian delicacies in the huts!
The entry point for this winter hike can be accessed at several spots. Officially, the path leads from the Mountain Resort Feuerberg, over the Schönfeld settlement to the Pöllinger Hut and from there on to the Kammer Hut (both managed). Then it continues about 1.8 kilometers further to the Stone Table, which is groomed as a cross-country ski trail if there is enough snow.
Starting from the top station of the Gerlitzen Kanzelbahn or the adjacent parking lot, follow the path towards the Pöllinger Hut and at signpost No. 51, you join the winter hiking path. Here, you can turn left toward the Kammer Hut and Stone Table or right to the Pöllinger Hut and Schönfeld settlement.
Author’s recommendation
This hike partially also leads along the "Kostale Weg" where you can try Carinthian Kostalan (small culinary delicacies), for example at the Pöllinger Hut.

From the Hotel Feuerberg, the groomed path leads via hiking trail No. 7 to the Schönfeld settlement - there you then turn right, following path No. 33 towards the Pöllinger Hut. Just before the hut, you have to briefly cross the piste - please be careful! After a stop at the Pöllinger Hut, continue on hiking trail No. 5 northwards to the Kammer Hut. After the Kammer Hut, follow hiking trail No. 45 about 200 meters downhill, then continue along hiking trail No. 41 northwest. This leads to the Schlossbauer Alm, after which you follow hiking trail No. 62 to the Stone Table. The return route follows the same path - with the Kammer Hut offering a nice spot for a short culinary break.

Public transport
Take the ÖBB S2 line to easily reach Annenheim station - from there, it’s only a few meters to the Gerlitzen Kanzelbahn. From the middle station, you reach the winter hiking path towards the Pöllinger Hut in about 20 minutes.
Directions
Take the B84 Ossiacher See road from Villach to Bodensdorf, turn left shortly after the Billa branch and continue on the toll Gerlitzen road to Bergeralm.

Ample parking is available on Bergeralm below the Mountain and Spa Resort Feuerberg.
