Hinterstein Winter Route

The winter hike leads to the small mountaineering village of Hinterstein, which lies deep in the valley between the Allgäu Alps. The district of the municipality of Hindelang is the most alpine and particularly suitable for hiking enthusiasts. At 866 m elevation, you are very close to the peaks here. In winter, snow covers the Hinterstein Valley with a white powdered sugar layer, turning it into a winter wonderland. Due to the altitude, the valley is very snow-safe. On the winter hike, you walk along the snowy mountain slopes through the wonderful landscape of the Ostrach valley. In addition to the impressive nature, Hinterstein scores with its tradition and culture. A highlight is the carriage museum, which annually attracts numerous visitors with its partly curious collection.
