HOW TO GET THERE
By car directly to Edlach an der Rax from where the route starts.
By public transport: train to Payerbach-Reichenau and then bus to Edlach an der Rax.
CHARACTERISTICS
In winter there are no particular difficulties up to 1200-1300 m except when there are heavy precipitations (snow or rain). Otherwise, after the first wooded section, the shaded areas are always full of snow. The trail is well frequented anyway (also by skiers).
Near the Otto-Haus refuge the trail flattens out; however, be careful as the slopes are all exposed.
In summer there are no difficulties to report.
You can go down the same path or, if using public transport and like me running late, you can cross the Rax plateau to the cable car station (but check schedules and services beforehand).
