A very beautiful ridge route, with a view of one of the most beautiful canyons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Rakitnica canyon, as well as the Treskavica and Bjelašnica mountains.

Start from the meadow next to the Tušila house in Sinanović. From the meadow, you can already see signposts indicating trails to the peaks Vito, Puzin, and Drstva. The arrow pointing to Drstvu says "3h".

The first few hundred meters go across the meadow, then you reach a village road. You walk almost two kilometers on this road, then continue on a narrow paved road that leads left, uphill towards the village, through which you must pass. From the village, follow the marked trail winding through meadows between small woods. Part of the trail goes through the forest, and this is where the ascent roughly begins. There is a spring at the exit of the forest. The summit of Drstva is not visible until you reach about 50 meters below it. On the left side is the ridge Subara, which in the distance leans against the second highest peak of Visočica, Vito.

The ascent to Drstva (1808 m.a.s.l.) takes slightly less than 3 hours. Directly below is the Raketnica canyon which separates Visočica and Bjelašnica. On the other side, on Bjelašnica, you can see the village of Lukomir (1495 m.a.s.l.), which makes it the highest inhabited village in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the only one above 1300 m.a.s.l. Below it, you can also see Umoljani. To the right in the distance is the Observatory, and behind us is Treskavica. On the left extends a ridge that connects Drstva with Vito (1960 m.a.s.l.) across the peaks Malo brdo (1830 m.a.s.l.) and Veliko brdo (1884 m.a.s.l.). The return route is precisely along that ridge. You first reach Malo brdo and then Veliko brdo. This section is not very demanding, and the ascent is very mild because the elevation difference is only about 70 meters.

From Veliko brdo, descend to the start of the ridge leading to Vito and then return downhill, diagonally towards the foothills.

    Roadbook

Exit onto the meadow above the house and head north. Soon you reach a village road that leads to the village of Pervizi. There, turn left and uphill to the end of the village. The marked hiking trail continues from there. At first, the trail goes through the meadow, then a bit through the forest, all the way to the spring. From the spring, go straight uphill (west) to the summit of Drstva.
