After reaching Cry d'Er by cable car, this magnificent hike will lead you to the resort, offering an exceptional view of the Rhône valley.
To start, go to the departure of the Crans - Cry d'Er cable car. After a twenty-minute ride above the fir trees to reach Cry d'Er, the last station located at 2,267 m, get off the cable car and take a break to admire the splendid view offered to you. The Cry d'Er restaurant, which is also an altitude club, offers an ideal setting to enjoy the landscape.
Begin the descent towards the Chetzeron hotel, among the slopes and skiers. On your right, you can see the Tseuzier dam. Stop on the terrace of the Chetzeron restaurant, facing the Valais Alps, or continue your way.
You reach the intermediate station of the cable car at Merbé, then continue to L'Arnouva, an island of sports and activities for families. Continue to Lac de Chermignon, before reaching the heights of Crans-Montana resort, then Lac Grenon and finally reach Rue Centrale of Crans.
Author’s recommendation
Plan to do this hike in good weather, when the sky is completely clear. You will have a complete view from Upper to Lower Valais.

Directions
To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the exit from highway A9 (Rhône highway) named "Sierre west." At the highway exit, turn left and follow signs indicating "Sierre." Upon reaching the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 500 meters then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left towards "Crans-Montana." Once arrived in Crans-Montana, follow the signs to reach the cable car and the Crans-Cry d'Er parking. The journey takes about 25 minutes.
