A high-altitude route presenting no particular difficulties, this parcours projects you into a world where the expression 360° is not exaggerated. From mont Mounier to the border mountains passing through the chains bordering the high valley of the Var, it sometimes happens, if weather conditions are favorable, to feel a true sense of joy while walking on the panoramic ridges connecting mont Brussière to the summit of the Countent. Downstream to the east opens the wild valley of the Vionène at the bottom of which nestles the charming hamlet of Vignols, an ancient place of transhumant pastoralism.

From col de la Couillole (1678 m), rise due north to climb the watershed line Cians-Tinée. Then follow it to the left (B.102) and continue along a broad steady slope culminating at mont Brussière (1955 m); you can avoid the latter by crossing below the northern slope plateau. Continue on the ridge line (northwest) first going down, then horizontally to finally climb a short slope leading to the summit of the Countent (1988 m), leaving the summer path on the left. Then turn sharply left to start (southwest) the descent of the Ars ridge (B.104) to the namesake cabin, hidden in a doline hollow (1836 m). Let yourself descend due south on the easy slopes that lead to the granges d’Ars (1641 m), cross (east) the vallon of Conchas and climb back to col Saint-Pierre (1712 m) by the summer path. Return to the nearby col de la Couillole via path (B.100) then by road.
