Canoe route Upper Drau

Canoe touring on the Drau following the footsteps of the legendary "poet in the canoe" Herbert Rittlinger is THE nature experience in Carinthia at the Outdoorpark Oberdrautal. The unique natural landscape with floodplain forest zones, the tributary mountain streams, the many small bays and the charming riverbank landscape offer canoeists unforgettable experiences on Carinthia's largest river. Organized canoe tours and rental boats are offered by Kanucamp Oberdrautal in Dellach an der Drau (near the campsite). Routes can be chosen at will. A central entry point is in Oberdrauburg (opposite the ÖBB train station); experienced paddlers can also start on Drau Island (canoe info point).

In all villages, entry and exit points are marked (each in the area of the road bridges).
