On this route, we hike from Csopak around the Szerdahelyi point to the Alsóörsi beach.
Between the two frequently visited beaches, we have the opportunity to explore the camping beach lying between Paloznak and the Szerdahelyi bay and the surrounding aquatic wildlife. The camping site embraced by reeds once served as Lovas shore, which is now part of Alsóörs. From here, we again have a wonderful view of the Tihany peninsula. Entering the Szerdahelyi bay, we get closer to the lookout on Somló Hill, and then after the harbor with its vibrant sailing life, we reach the destination of the route.
Author’s recommendation
The duration and difficulty level of paddling largely depend on the weather conditions. In case of sudden strong waves and/or wind, a short and easy route can immediately turn into a long and difficult challenge.
