A long route with 1400 meters of elevation through the east face of Casale. Here, the sun shines fully on the wall from early morning. (Water!!!)
The east face of Monte Casale stands impressively. With great skill, the route makes its way through the wall using ledges, with iron rungs on steep sections to climb upward. The lower part has been skillfully rerouted (left of the quarry). At 565 m, the route meets the original path. Well secured, with good fitness nothing can go wrong. The descent must also be considered, as the 1400 meters of elevation must be managed on the way down as well. At the wall logbook, the most demanding part of the route is then behind you. Much walking terrain must be covered to reach the summit. A few steps remind with wire ropes of what came before until you arrive at the soccer meadow. Lush vegetation welcomes the climber before the summit.
The view offers enjoyment of the Brenta and Adamello massifs or also into the Sarche valley.
The Rifugio Don Zio hut is only open on weekends.
The descent follows trail 427 (the other descent is closed). Well marked but long and also steep, it goes back over Sarche, about 3 hours.
