We take the cable car from Fiesch to the Eggishorn cable car station. A beautiful view of the Aletsch Glacier opens up. Only the view from the nearby Eggishorn summit can be better. We save this summit experience for later. As a reward. Because now it's time to climb. On the via ferrata, well secured to the steel cable. Click-clack... and the carabiners are already hanging on the steel cable. At the beginning, it goes over grassy ledges and iron pins. Then over a swinging bridge, which consists of several ladders hung together. Soon it gets more difficult; we scramble around rock noses, catch our breath, far below lies the Fiescheralp. Then the triple cable bridge. Those who do not want to balance across the airy abyss can also bypass the bridge along the rock wall. After an hour you can leave the via ferrata at the emergency exit and either climb up to the Eggishorn cable car station via the hiking trail or hike to the Fiescheralp. Or take a break. Then follows a steep rock face
