Access: At the top station of the Vallon chairlift, the trailhead for the Vallon via ferrata is signposted; the trail is also marked with a red line. Route Info: A long ascent with a short via ferrata section. As an alternative to the standard descent, you can take the Lichtenfelser-Steig (trail no. 672—the final section follows the same route for both the ascent and descent). This makes for a great loop hike for experienced mountaineers (though it takes longer than the standard descent). Descent: From the summit, Trail No. 638 leads back to the starting point without any particular difficulties (signposted at the summit), approx. 1½ hours.
