To Monte Vallon Bianco

From Pederü, follow trail marker 7 (partly via the access road) uphill to the Klein-Fanes alpine basin with the Fanes and Lavarella huts (approx. 2040 m; private mountain huts with summer service, possible overnight stay). From the Fanes hut take trail no. 11 up to the Limojoch with Limosee. Then follows a short descent to the Groß-Fanes alpine pasture. Behind it the route continues left on the marked trail no. 17. You leave the junction to Monte Castello (marker) to the right and ascend to the left on the signposted path (VB – Vallon Bianco). Further up you cross a large valley, then again go left and ascend in switchbacks between the rocks. After some remnants of World War I positions, you reach a fork (old signs and faded markings). To the right is the Furcia-Rossa via ferrata, while the path to Vallon Bianco leads straight ahead. Partly exposed, it goes up in switchbacks until you reach a fork.
