The Cellon tunnel is not just a climbing experience but also an interesting journey into the past. Traces of the battles from the First World War can be found everywhere.
This via ferrata, which is also suitable for families, leads through the mountain to the Cellon shoulder and is almost continuously secured by a steel cable.
Sun rays repeatedly penetrate the tunnel through some rock holes, making the passage of this somewhat older-style via ferrata even more extraordinary.
Author’s recommendation
For this via ferrata, you need a headlamp in addition to your climbing equipment.
It is cool and the rock is also damp inside the tunnel.
Note:
The difficulty rating only refers to the via ferrata itself, not to the approach and descent.
