The via ferrata is divided into 2 parts that can be climbed separately. Good for shortly after work, a gray autumn day, or also evenings in summer. The first part has a frequently earthy, slippery entry wall, the following ascent was wet during our last climb. The second part includes a not to be underestimated slab traverse, rated C/D. This key section can be bypassed. If you only want to do the second part, you can also descend from the exit via the via ferrata or the meadow slope.
Author’s recommendation
The Flatzer Wand offers more trails and caves. They are all worth visiting.

Roadbook
From the parking lot, follow the path uphill over the meadow, past the barbecue area. Shortly after, signs to the Naturfreundehaus are visible; follow these. The path first goes through forest, crosses a forest road, and turns into a wide, somewhat steeper hiking trail. Follow this uphill until in a left bend in the forest rocks become visible and narrow trail marks lead to these rocks. The entry is marked by a board on a tree. After exiting, follow the trail marks to the Naturfreundehaus. From there, return to the Waldbauer via the hiking trails towards Flatz.
