The via ferrata has been completely renovated; due to the southern exposure, it can get very hot, especially on the steep approach. Except for a few well-secured, moderate sections, there are no major technical difficulties.
Approach: Follow trail markers no. 747, last steep through the forest and over scree fields to the start at about 2130 m. Route info: The ferrata alternates between steep climbing sections, a few short and one longer walking section. Descend at the notch below the summit of Cimerlo, head north along the fixed cables and continue to the signposted junction with the Sentiero del Cacciatore below Cima della Stanga. Descent: Via the Sentiero del Cacciatore and trail no. 719 back to Prati Fosne.
