Elevador de Santa Justa - Rossio - Convento do Carmo - Praça da Figueira
Willeasy
This route, which allows you to get to know the most representative places of Lisbon, includes some steps, so it does not allow full access to those using wheels. The route is therefore recommended for people able to move on foot.
The route starts in the historic center, at the Elevador de Santa Justa, the elevator that offers a panoramic view of the city and represents an iconic tourist attraction of Lisbon.
Using the elevator, you reach Largo do Carmo, where you can visit the Convento do Carmo (Museu Arqueológico do Carmo): a former convent located in the Chiado district, today characterized by the ruins of the church that rise into the sky. This site is part of the archaeological museum, which houses artifacts related to the history of Portugal and its link with overseas colonies.
The route then continues descending to Praça do Rossio and ends at Praça da Figueira. From there, it is possible to use the accessible metro stop or continue through the streets of Baixa.
