We start our walk in the heart of the Casco Céntrico of El Calafate. The route takes us through the lively town center, where small stores, cafés and restaurants line the streets. Our destination is the National Park Information Center, which provides useful information on hiking trails and campsites in Los Glaciares National Park. The area around El Calafate is characterized by its poplars and the nearby Lago Argentino, which we catch glimpses of again and again on the way. Historically, the town is characterized above all by its location as the gateway to the national park and its development through tourism. Characterized by its clear streets, colourful houses and open cityscape, El Calafate offers everything that makes the town so special in a small space - a relaxed atmosphere, good cafés and the flair of the Patagonian south Café Borges & Alvarez invites you to stop off at the end of our walk through the town to linger in a relaxed atmosphere and sample local specialties.
