A mobile route implemented by Lapua Adult Education Centre's Media Workshop and the Kirkkotiet development project in the area of Lapua town centre.
A city walk combining cultural and religious sites in the beautiful scenery of Lapua. The starting point is the historic Old Paukku and the route circles about 5 kilometres, which surely offers something for everyone!
Author’s recommendation
It's definitely worth exploring the surroundings more at the Cathedral and Old Paukku! Also visit the tourism garden, if possible.

Roadbook
- The route starts from the smithy chapel, Vanhan Paukun tie 1
- The journey continues to the nearby Esko Nikkari memorial
- Nearby there is also a small boat dock
- A walking path runs behind Old Paukku, along which you will find Laurila bridge
- After a small loop, follow the Lapua river towards the cathedral
- Next to the church is the beggar boy
- In front of the church is the Jokilaakso park
- A bit further down the straight is the parish institute
- Return the same way and walk a bit further, where you will find the St Seraphim of Sarov prayer room
- Following the upper school gates, after a short distance you will find the children's church
- You will find yourself again on the familiar route near the cathedral.
- Continue over the bridge, past the red Kosola house and through the parking lot. Next to it is the town hall.
- Next to the town hall is Lapua market square
- Walk through the market and continue towards the Pentecostal congregation
- After a short distance you will find Laurila park
- In the immediate vicinity of the park is also the free congregation
- Through the park towards the familiar Laurila bridge and after a longer straight the route ends at Old Paukku

Trains/buses run once an hour between Seinäjoki and Lapua, between 6 am and 7 pm. Both the train and the bus stop at the same stop in front of Lapua Matkahuolto. From Matkahuolto to the starting point of the route, Old Paukku, is about 500 meters on foot. Please check more detailed schedules from Matkahuolto or VR websites.
