Recommended maps for this region:
Equipment
Shoes: Alpine trail running shoes with aggressive tread. Grippy soles are for the narrow and rocky high-altitude trail absolutely necessary.
Clothing: Functional layering principle (high alpine terrain). Wind- and weather-resistant jacket as well as headband/hat also belong in the running backpack in summer, since the proximity to the glacier often causes cold wind.
Safety & nutrition: Running vest with sufficient fluids, energy bars, first-aid kit and a charged smartphone with offline map material. Sure-footedness is in the area of the high-altitude trail required!
