Trailrun Hahnbaum

The route starts at the Kraftwerk Plankenau, from here you go about 1.5 km along the Tauernradweg by the Salzach towards the town center. From the Untermarktbrücke into the Promenade, continuing into the Adelsberger Promenade. Behind the forest swimming pool, the ascent begins.

In the next 4 km, about 500 m of elevation are overcome. The trail leads to the Hahnbaumalm (not managed) and then continues up to Oberhahnbaum. After about 700 m of elevation, the highest point is reached. At the large intersection towards Hochgründeck at km 8, go down to the right (barrier) back towards Hahnbaum, passing the summit cross. After a short asphalt section, at km 8.5 turn right back into the forest, a short ascent of about 50 m. The path passes Vogei Hütt’n and Hotel Hahnbaum.

From here, follow the path towards Kohlbichl towards the valley. At the height of the mountain station of the drag lift, the trail briefly follows the ascent route. At the Großunterberg farm, cross the ski slope and follow the road to the Hetzenbichl inn. In front of the inn, take the left path towards Kuhbergrundweg. After crossing the state road, follow Kuhbergweg towards the town. At the first houses, go left down onto the street and follow the street layout to the district court. At the intersection, follow the road left towards Liechtensteinklamm, after about 500 m take the road left towards Liechtensteinklamm and after another 200 m you reach the starting point.
