From Kirn in the idyllic Hahnenbachtal, the path runs over forested quartzite ridges to the romantic Rhine Valley in Bingen. Enjoy silence in secluded forests, with only nature as the soundscape, allowing you to recharge from the stressful everyday life.
On more than 40 km of trail in the Great Soon and Lützelsoon, the Soonwaldsteig (total length 85 km) touches no settlements and only crosses smaller, little-trafficked country roads; therefore, the backpack should be well stocked with provisions. On narrow paths, hard-to-reach forests open up and lead to hidden natural beauties.
