Our longest marked running loop in Bad Reichenhall starts at the RupertusTherme and quickly leads through a light beech forest along the left bank of the Saalach River downstream.
From the spa, go through the underpass, then at the skate park turn left towards Nonner Steg. Turn right, cross the Nonner Steg, and continue slightly uphill and downhill along Streilachweg towards the Staufenbrücke bridge. Over the 'Pidinger Steg' you switch to the other riverbank into the Marzoller Au. A narrow root path meanders directly along the river. Concentration is required! The return goes through a light floodplain forest on a wide, gravel forest path. Once back at the bridge, stay on the left bank and follow the paved pedestrian and bike path back to the starting point.
