Route: We run counterclockwise. First on asphalt heading east.
After about 1 km, turn left onto the farm road.
After 1.5 km, turn right. On the “Geserberg Anhöhe,” run through Ahornbach to Hirschberg.
From the summit, continue north, then head toward Pfänder. When you reach the fountain at a left-hand curve, turn right after 150 m toward Hochberg.
From there, head down to Schüssellehen and turn left toward Pfänder.
At this intersection—where you’ve almost been before—follow the wonderful, undulating hiking trail to the right toward Pfänder.
After the large parking lot, take the stairs on the right up to the transmission tower.
Continue on to the Pfänder mountain station, weaving your way through the crowds of tourists (at least that was the case before the pandemic ;-) ).
Pass the Pfänderdohle inn on your left. At this intersection, head up the meadow to the T-bar lift.
Finally, head down the farm road back to the starting point.
Many thanks to Jürgen Schnetzer for the idea and planning of this route!
