The start and finish of the 20 km long hike on the pilgrimage trail is in the beautiful town center of Daaden at the tower of the Evangelical Baroque Church. From there, you can hike the pilgrimage trail clockwise or counterclockwise. The recommendation is to hike clockwise, as described. To do this, descend the stairs at the church, cross the street at the pedestrian crossing, and follow the signposts towards Silberberg. With an initial ascent, you reach a viewpoint overlooking the town of Daaden. Following the path in Krain, you then hike towards Biersdorf to the cross on the Biersdorfer Lay. Here you can take your first rest with a beautiful view of the town of Biersdorf. The further path then leads through an old mining and coppice landscape where numerous opencast pits (surface ore mining) can still be seen. You hike in the area of the old iron ore mine Füsseberg. Along the route, you reach another viewpoint over the town of Daaden with the Stegskopf in the background. A bench invites you to pause and reflect amidst the beautiful nature. After another 1.2 kilometers of hiking, you reach the Heller high trail, an old trade route. Via the Igelshahn (436 m) and the Mühlberg (451 m), you then walk through beautiful landscape to the Hüllbuche, an old tree that has already witnessed the Thirty Years' War. This section of 2.4 kilometers has little elevation and invites a moment of silence. At the Hüllbuche parking lot, there is another opportunity to rest before continuing on the "Druidensteig" hiking trail through a 250-year-old beech forest towards Hohenseelbachskopf. The Hohenseelbachskopf (517 m) is a place with a long history. Its origins date back to the Celtic period (ring wall), an old noble family of the Seelbachers who built a castle there, destroyed in 1352, and from the 19th to the 20th century, basalt was mined there, traces of which are still visible today. There is also an opportunity to rest here. At Hohenseelbachskopf, the pilgrimage trail meets the European long-distance path E1, which it follows for 1.5 kilometers. Then the pilgrimage trail branches off, and you reach the Wilhelm-Fischbach Hut. The trail continues to the Westerwald Hut (507 m) on the Rodenbach with the source of the Direnbach. Here, too, there is an opportunity to rest. From here, the path descends for 3.5 kilometers back to the town of Daaden. On this section, there are two benches with a beautiful view of the landscape and the town of Daaden. Passing the outdoor pool, the path goes through the Wetzels Gründchen to the Hahnenkopf on the last 3 kilometers and reaches the monument "Behind the Ley" before returning to the town center and the Evangelical Baroque Church Daaden. At many points along the pilgrimage trail, there are opportunities for body work and impulses, which are an important element on a pilgrimage walk.
