Beech Forest Loop

The route starts at Aktivpark Montafon in Schruns-Tschagguns. Along the gravel path beside the Ill and past the Montafon golf course, the route leads downstream to the end of the path. At the level of the roofing company Stemer, follow the paved road further downstream to the land bridge. Once there, pass through the underpass and cross the covered wooden bridge. You are now in the Stiefen district of Schruns. Follow the Stiefenweg and Fratteweg uphill. At the fork "Fratteweg/Bargusweg," turn onto Bargusweg and shortly after turn left onto Zabaresweg. Continue straight ahead. Via Buchwaldweg, you then reach Hofweg. Now turn right and follow a short stretch uphill on the paved road. Shortly after, turn left onto the path and follow it downhill. Here you have a beautiful view of Schruns-Tschagguns. You will pass by the Hauptschule Schruns Dorf. Via Bergbahnstraße and Veltlinerweg, you return on the footpath to the starting point.
