From the parking lot towards Laponesalm on the paved road. After about 700 m at the water reservoir, turn half-left, after 50 m follow the signpost towards Gargglerin. Then follow the forest and subsequently mountain meadows to the notch leading to the Sandertal. Here turn left and ascend the last 150 vertical meters to the Gargglerin.
Then return to the notch and continue south along the northern walls of the Pflerscher and Gschnitzer Tribulaun to the hut. From the hut, return on the trail on the orographically right side of the valley to the Gschnitztal.
