Interactive wine educational route with information boards, exhibits, and explanations about the cultivated grape varieties by our wine royalty.
The open-air museum Wine Educational Route Edenkoben is one of the oldest wine educational routes in the Palatinate and is located in a fascinating vineyard landscape.
Along the circular route, historical viticulture, pressing, and cellar equipment from different eras can be seen. Information boards inform visitors with humorous and informative texts about the variety of grape types and their cultivation techniques. Via QR codes, you can listen to explanations from the Edenkoben wine princesses on your smartphone.
WATCH OUT! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
- Fire & Smoking - Making fires, smoking, and grilling are strictly prohibited in the forest and must absolutely be avoided! Fires and thus significant damage to nature and wildlife can only be prevented in this way.
- Be considerate on the move - Always behave in a foresighted, friendly, and considerate manner towards everyone you meet on the way. This is especially true on farm and forestry paths where vintners, farmers, and foresters also work on weekends.
- Nature conservation - Stay on the designated paths and avoid unnecessary noise when you are in nature. Leave the forest by dusk at the latest to not disturb the rhythm of nocturnal animals.
- Picnic & Waste - Remember a garbage bag for on the way and take your waste back home. Use only the furnished rest areas for breaks and picnics.
- Leash dogs - Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.

Hiking on natural paths and trails - Especially in autumn, be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or rainstorms, trees can still fall or branches can drop afterwards. Especially in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or ravines are secured with ropes or railings. Sure-footedness is required in places. You must expect path impairments of this kind if you undertake a hike. If you believe certain sections are not passable for you, you should avoid them. Despite the "unavoidable" marking of the premium hiking trails, for safety reasons, we always recommend carrying an appropriate hiking map so that, for example, in case of a thunderstorm or an emergency, you can quickly find a safe area. Path closures and detours must be strictly observed.
Hazard situations - In an emergency, quick help is essential. And even though mobile phones can send GPS signals, classic rescue points are often the fastest option. These are located at places easily accessible for rescue vehicles. Remember the points with green signs and a white cross. In an emergency, return there and provide the number on the sign when calling for help. This way, rescuers know where to find you.
