Walk to Kvačianska dolina

The route from the parking lot to the mills is slightly demanding but very pleasant. At the entrance to Kvačianska dolina, you will find a parking lot where you can leave your car. The parking lot is located at the valley entrance gate, often marked with an information board about the route and nearby attractions. From the parking lot, a hiking trail marked with a blue tourist sign leads you through forest paths and meadows, guiding you almost through the entire valley. The trail is well marked and occasionally you will find information boards about the nature and history of the area. The path passes through diverse terrain – it goes through forests, along the Kvačianka stream, and offers beautiful views of the valley and surrounding rocks. In some places, wooden bridges and footbridges are built for comfortable crossing over the stream or wet parts.

After about 2 kilometers, you will reach a place where the trail rises slightly. On this section, you will find a turnoff marked to the Oblazy mills. The path is a bit steeper here but does not last long, and soon you will get to the mills. After approximately 45 minutes to an hour of walking, you arrive at the destination – the Oblazy mills. These are two preserved mills that are a national cultural monument. There is also an old sawing mill and an exposition that brings you closer to the life and work of millers in this area. The route is easy and suitable for most tourists. Sturdy footwear is recommended, and don't forget to bring enough water. At Oblazy Mills, there is usually a buffet with souvenirs open.
