We leave Studen from the station heading towards the nearby wooded hill, passing through the bottom of the Vorderberg quarry after admiring some sculptures in the Saner Foundation garden.
We quickly arrive at the ruins of Petinesca, an ancient Gallo-Roman town. The place, steeped in history, is interesting to see.
We continue our walk towards the Jäissberg, more precisely around Chnebelburg. We then exit the forest to cross the village of Stöckleren, before re-entering the forest a few minutes later.
The route, without notable difficulty, delights us. We also enjoy several rest areas and soon reach Gerolfingen located on the shore of Lake Biel. The train takes us back to the Seeland capital.
