The approximately 5.5 kilometer long hiking trail marked with a squirrel symbol leads from the entrance of the SRH hospital Karlsbad-Langensteinbach along the Bocksbach Valley to Herrmannsee, then further past the barbecue hut and the water reservoir back to the SRH hospital.
At the beginning it coincides with the nature trail. The highlight of this pleasantly manageable hiking trail is certainly the very romantically situated Herrmannsee, an idyllic pond with water lilies where benches invite hikers to linger. Along the hiking trail, interested visitors learn all about the native bird species, trees, and vegetation types on information boards.
Thanks to its moderate length and varied route, the Squirrel Trail is ideal for families, leisure hikers, and anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-close round with beautiful resting opportunities.
