Roadbook
Starting from Piazza Cavour, one can choose whether to descend south toward Porta Romana by crossing Corso Marconi, thus following the one-way street, or to pass through the Belvedere di Piazza Nuova by descending to the left of Piazza Cavour, into Via Beato Pietro and following on Via del Sole, from which following the alleys one will arrive on Piazza Preziotti then resuming the descent toward Porta Romana. As soon as you pass Porta Romana turn immediately to the right where you will be able to see along the walls Porta San Pietro, the old drawbridge; continue until you cross the road in the direction of Via Cinque Cerri and turn right onto Via della Sorgente.
After 500mt downhill, where the trees begin to cover the road, on the right you will see a road downhill in the middle of the fields and still further to the right, a little covered, another road again; take the second one until the fork in the middle of the woods; at the fork continue downhill to the left until you reach the paved road again. Continue straight uphill on Via Montelino until at the junction with the main road you will see the wall of the Etruscan Tomb in front of you.
With the Etruscan Tomb on the left, follow Via Montelino again, the white road uphill that passes to the left of the house in front of you, follow the road to the junction with the main road and continue straight through the olive trees.
Follow the path all the way under the walls until you come out on Largo Buozzi near Porta Santa Caterina; following the indicated section of the path you will be able to admire the well-maintained Etruscan walls and then continue the tour by going back the other way; without entering through Porta Santa Caterina you walk along the road keeping the walls on the right, until you will again enter the city through Porta San Crispolto, located just below the apse of the church of the Patron Saint of Bettona.
