The Ortlsteig leads from the Gasthaus Schlosswirt in Juval to the abandoned Stabener Waal with breathtaking views down into the Schnalstal Gorge
The starting point of the short hike is at the Gasthaus Schlosswirt in Juval. Behind the rock at the roadside, a path leads down to a forest road that takes the hiker to the remains of the abandoned Stabener Waal. From here, it goes over an iron footbridge with breathtaking views down into the Schnalstal Gorge and further down to Unterortlhof. From there, take the shuttle bus back to the large car park below Juval Castle.
