The Silbertal is a mysterious and legendary side valley of the Montafon, which is home to a centuries-old mining history. Here, the precious metal silver was mined until the 16th century, with traces still visible today. However, the Silbertal is also known for the multitude of legends that originated here and have been passed down from generation to generation. But the Silbertal has a certain mystique not only because of its legends. The nearly untouched Verwall European protected area, which calls this place home, has a unique landscape and numerous mountain waters that are unsurpassed in mystique.
Discover mystical legendary figures together with Erna in a wild romantic natural setting.

The hike starts at the valley station of the Kristbergbahn. Walk a little further into the valley. After a few meters, turn right over the bridge of the Litz. After the bridge, turn left onto the promenade. Along the Litz, continue further into the valley until you reach the area "Felsa." There is the open-air stage of the Montafon legend festival. Every two years, legends are performed on the open-air stage in July & August.
Follow the path further until you reach a barrier. Next to the barrier is a wooden figure created by the world champion of forestry work using a chainsaw. Continue along the path until the next signpost, "Gebiet Wüarri," then turn right and follow the path toward "Silbertal village center." Over the Burgkopf, you reach the Schutzdamm viewpoint and return back to the village center. At the village center, on the left is the parish church and on the right of the road the municipal office and citizen service center. The mining museum is also located in the same building. Continue over the bridge, then turn right, and you will return to the starting point.
