Gästeamt Maierhöfen
The idea to build a forest-themed route together with the children originated in kindergarten and elementary school. Since then, children can explore the forest and experience it with all their senses on the Forest Senses Active Path. On the tactile trail, the sense of touch is required when walking barefoot, you can make music on the xylophone, and at the long jump pit everyone can test if they can jump as far as a hare, marten, or mouse.
There is much to discover on the path!

Opposite the village fountain (right next to the town hall/church) there are public, free parking spaces. This is where we start the short route to the Forest Senses Active Path. To the right of the large bus hall, there is a hiking sign towards Riedholz, and the path is also marked with a sticker. We walk on the field path about 300 meters to the edge of the forest. On this path, we are accompanied by a lovingly designed herb trail.
In the forest, we already see benches, an insect hotel, the forest sofa, the bat box, and much more. In the forest, you simply follow the small path, which is laid out in a loop.
The loop ends at the edge of the forest and we walk back toward Maierhöfen.
