The Stone Age Path is one of the "Fichtelberg Seven-Star Circular Hiking Trails." It commemorates Stone Age traces in the region with 7 information boards and leads (in the long version) over 17 km, mainly on forest paths, from Neubau via Old Silver House, Silver House, Prinzenfelsen, Girgel Cave, and Neuweiher back to Neubau.

Start at Meilerplatz in Neubau, the starting point of all Fichtelberg Seven-Star Circular Hiking Trails.

On the "Wunsiedler Steig" over the Fichtelnaab (information board 1 about the Stone Age Path and information board 2 in Bodloh).

Passing below the Fichtel Lake on forest paths to the Gregnitz (information board 3 about the stone axe found there).

Crossing the B 303 and ascending towards Platte (highest point of the trail), descending to the Old Silver House (information board 4).

On the FGV ridge trail over the Silver House (information board 5) to Prinzenfelsen and Girgel Cave (information board 6).

(Unlike the ridge trail, the Stone Age Path leads directly to Prinzenfelsen and also through the cave.)

Descending towards Nagler Lake (lowest point) and then ascending again at the turnaround point of the circular route towards Fichtelberg.

Second crossing of the Gregnitz at Neuweiher (information board 7).

On forest roads to Fichtelberg. Up to Kalvarienberg, over Bocksgraben, past Sixen Cross back to the starting point.
